Dicentra spectabilis Alba

Old Fashioned Bleeding Heart
One of the first of the hardy perennials to show off in the spring, this lovely all white form of Bleeding Heart is a wonderful companion to Pulmonaria, Brunnera, Primroses and late blooming bulbs, Plants grow to 3' tall and 3' wide, but are summer dormant, so plan for some annual filler plants for late season interest. FYI, the taxonomists have decided this from of bleeding heart should now be called Lamprocapnos spectabilis Alba, but it doesn't appear many people are using this name yet.
