Juncus patens 'Occidental Blue'

California Blue Rush
A California native rush which is proving to be adaptable and hardy to at least zone 7, and even useful as a container plant. Blue gray grasslike foliage forms sturdy clumps 2-3' tall, and have historically been planted in moist soil and along pond sides, but it has proven to be quite tolerant of drug conditions once established. Spreads by rhizamatous roots.
