Drought Tolerant Perennials

Baptisia australis 'var minor'

Dwarf False Indigo
Folks always comment on this smaller tidy form of Baptisia australis when they see it in our garden. Plants form dense 24-30" mounds of almost eucalyptus looking foliage, complimented with violet blue lupine like flowers in late spring. It is slower growing than other forms of Baptisia, but extremely long lived and loves a sunny spot with well drained soil.
