Polygonatum odoratum variegatum

Solomon's Seal
Have to say, this is one of the best all around plants for the shade garden. It looks good as it breaks ground in spring, continues all summer and begins to call it quits in mid autumn. Pairs of white bells dangle along arching 18" stems in May. The oval dark green leaves look as thought they have been dipped in white pain. It is also a plant that can tolerate dry shade and is deer resistant.
