We want you to be delighted when you open a box from Avant Gardens, and our packers take extra time to carefully wrap and box actively growing plants, (not bare roots or tiny rooted cuttings). We guarantee our plants are true to name and healthy when they leave our nursery. We include a general care sheet with each order, and encourage you to contact us if you have concerns or questions.
If there are any problems when your order arrives, please notify us within 5 days in writing, either by email firstname.lastname@example.org (best!) or by phone 508-998-8819. Photographs of any problems are always helpful. We will address the problem immediately and either assure you that the plants just need a few days to recover after being in a box, or will replace or refund any plant that arrives and is unlikely to thrive. Please keep all boxes and packing material in case the shipping company (UPS) needs to inspect damage caused by their handling.
Please note: We relinquish control of plant care when an order leaves our nursery, and cannot offer an unconditional guarantee that all plants will thrive, since there are too many factors beyond our control. Too little or too much water can kill plants, as well as adverse weather conditions, or planting them in inappropriate soil conditions. Woodchuck, rabbit and deer browsing are always problems, and can weaken young plants. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have questions on how to care for your plants.
Orders are charged after we have reserved your plant selections from our inventory. You will receive a confirmation order invoice, with any applied discounts. Once your account has been charged we delete all credit card info from our files. Occasionally a plant which we have reserved for you may not be thriving at the time of shipment. We will contact you to see if you would prefer a different plant or a refund.
We are a small family nursery and not a subsidy of a bigger operation. We do not share customer information with any other company.
