Elk Horn Cedar or Hiba Arborvitae. Limited supply. This beautiful conifer should be in more gardens. Reportedly it prefers a moist rich soil and does well in areas with high annual rainfall, yet we've grown it for a couple of years in southeastern MA, and it hasn't been upset with our variable weather conditions. Lacy flat fronds of yellow green foliage with needles arranged in a pattern that almost looks braided. It is slow growing but can become a large specimen with age, up to 20' tall in our climate, but possibly to 30'' in warmer zones. Spring shipping size 12-15" plants.
